Saturday, April 9, 9:30am - 4:30pm, in-person workshop.
Join me in beautiful Jamestown Rhode Island for a day of making and community at the Jamestown Art Center.
I'll be taking you through the ins and outs of sewing with my best-selling Free-Wheeling Single Girl quilt pattern! We'll start with a review of your fabrics, and I'll share examples and variations that will inspire and help guide your own choices. I'll walk you through the liberating process of improvising your ring pieces, and take you step-by-step through all phases of working with the pattern. You'll learn how to sew curved seams like a pro, and if you've never tackled them before you'll be surprised how easy it feels by the end of the class. You'll have time to create 3-4 blocks in our day-long workshop, and spend some time reviewing layout options and construction techniques to finish your Free-Wheeling Single Girl at home.
The Free-Wheeling Single Girl pattern will be provided for a discounted price at the workshop, and optional acrylic template sets will be available for purchase. Materials list provided via the Jamestown Art Center. Register here.
