Appliqué in Santa Fe POSTPONED

Appliqué in Santa Fe POSTPONED

POSTPONED! Due to illness, this class has unfortunately been postponed. Stay tuned as we work to reschedule it in 2027.

Feeling frazzled and overwhelmed? Come spend an inspiring week learning needle turn appliqué with Denyse in beautiful Santa Fe! We begin with an immersion into the wide range of individual expression in decorative and functional art/craft, and explore intuitive drawing practices to create unique appliqué motifs for a small quilt top. Denyse will share techniques and tips for hand applique and guide you through elements of composition to create an effective overall design, and we’ll have lots of contemplative and companionable time to talk, sew, and create together. Included is a trip to the Santa Fe Botanical Garden for inspiration and drawing practice.

"Hand stitching is my way of slowing things down—the restful pace helps me focus my attention, healing my fragmented mind. Making beautiful, steady progress soothes my soul!”  — Denyse
