Spend a week with me at Madeline Island School of the Arts, located on a peaceful, beautiful island just off the coast of Wisconsin in Lake Superior! We'll have a week of creative learning and making in a spacious studio, with comfortable accommodations, and an inspiring setting.
I'll be teaching To the Letter: Improvisational Patchwork. Letterforms are easily recognizable, deeply familiar, and can resonate with personal meaning, making them an ideal foundation for experimentation, play, and your own unique creative expression!
In this week-long workshop, we’ll work with a framework of abstracted letterforms and fabric to master structural improvisation, and the written word to explore meaning and intention. We’ll also explore practices to help us nurture more intuitive ways of creating (vs conditioned or habitual choices), and learn to work with more ease and flow, and creative confidence.
