In honor of Women’s History Month and the women who inspire me, and inspired by Aretha Franklin’s 1967 rendition of the song, I made fabric blocks that spell out R E S P E C T. These pages include brief instructions for making letter blocks to make a quilt, pillow, or banner.

I used my Patchwork Panel 2 for the block backgrounds (with navy and black solids from my stash for the letters). You can substitute any DSQ Patchwork Panels or licensed fabrics, or use fabrics from your stash.

– Instructions assume basic piecing and quilting knowledge for best results.
