Florence

FreeSpirit Fabrics 2013

Florence has all the charm and wit of your favorite 1940's comedy heroine. Smart, sassy and sophisticated (like my mom, below), Florence plays all the angles. Equally at home dressing the bed or whipped into a ‘take-no-prisoners’ skirt, this versatile collection hits all the marks.

A range of scales and textures combine beautifully for quilting projects, and standout prints that will shine in any scenario. Vibrant and strong gemstone-inspired color stories of Carnelian and Malachite inspire your imagination to take center stage!

Our Between the Lines quilt pattern dresses the bed with sophistication and style, cleverly playing all the angles. "Smart and vibrant–like your favorite 40’s heroine – Between the Lines is a snap to make. Make sparks fly!"

  • Hi Linda! Sorry for the slow response. I’ll email you directly with this answer also, as I’m not sure you’ll be notified of this reply. As instructed, you cut the A background corner pieces from a 4-inch square, cut in half diagonally. That size allows for a little overage, and you’ll “true up” the finished block to size after sewing all the strips together. The diagonal of this 4" square is about 5-1/2". YOu don’t have to add any seam allowances, just cut each block piece as directed in the instructions – the seam allowance is included in the listed dimensions.

  • Trying to get started making “Between the Lines” quilt Twin size Question- what is the actual size needed to make “A”. Do I add 1/4" to each side and 1/4" to diagonal making it actually 5" when allowing for all seams. For string “B” strips 1.625 plus 1/4" 2X making actual cut size 2.125" String “C” strips 2.00" plus 1/4" 2X making cut size 2.50" Could you plz advise actual cut sizes when allowances are made for all inside and outside seams. Thanks
