Three Isolated Patches
Three Isolated Patches evolved from long-kept sketches and concepts, for a 2008 exhibition at Moss design gallery in Santa Fe, NM. Many of the intensely-hued vintage wool and cotton fabrics used in this quilt are dead stock purchased from an old-school Bridgeport fabric store that was sadly closing.
Archival photos of this quilt also used the name A Few Isolated Patches. Which one is correct? I love the tension created by the pieced patches, clinging to the quilt edges.
